ASL 2025

  • Initiate fully detailed financial reports
  • Replace the League's Auditor immediately
  • Evaluate Building Potential and initiate Safety Assessments
  • Commence a forensic audit of financial Records
  • Ensure that the League's voting process is secure and transparent
  • Audit and reappraisal of League's art collection

  • Initiate prudent fiscal policies that include fundraising policies
  • Enhance fundraising planning to keep the League affordable
  • Evaluate Administrative functions and ensure that Administration is meeting members' needs
  • Evaluate faculty compensation
  • Establish peer review hiring of Instructors and maintain Atelier-based traditions
  • Inclusive Governance with members being heard, meetings being run by Robert's Rules of Order and promote civil discourse.
  • Create a Board that listens to Members and instructors, responsive to and serving its membership
  • Create an Art Advisory Committee that includes faculty and Art Professionals with credibility
  • Assess all current Programs that use League funding, such as Model to Monument and Outreach.
  • Evaluate benefits to students and our Mission of helping students become artists
Rebuild and Strengthen the League Community
  • Make Membership important to current student body, providing curated member exhibitions with access to art-specific venues
  • Sponsor "Galas" involving the entire League community
  • Nurture the League's Fraternity of artists and art students
  • Re-establish relationships with other institutions and provide avenues for League students to have access to the larger art community
  • Provide studio space for independent work with increased student access
  • Restore easy access to LPM Sketch Class
  • Schedule regular open forums to discuss art
  • Establish Curated Corporate Rental Program accompanied by website exposure
Improve League Facilities
  • Restore the famed, skylight Vanderbilt Gallery (2 galleries) with continuous exhibition programs
  • Reconfigure the 2nd floor to accommodate 3 studios.
  • Build the Vytlacil Research Facility to preserve and showcase the League's vast art collection
  • Establish priorities for the Vytlacil Campus to optimize use of the facility
Constitution and By-Laws
  • We reject "Board-approved" changes to the Constitution and By-laws because the changes favor the Board, not the Members
  • We pledge to maintain the intent and purpose of our founding Constitution and By-laws, which favors individual Members and the Membership
